The Summer of 2021, Only 300 Days Away!
A message from the Directors:
We are already looking forward to the summer of 2021. All our campers and staff missed camp this year. We are trying to offer as much phone and online support as possible so that the girls who are still unable to go to school can attend Savanna’s online workouts, or speak to Lisa, our registered dietitian. We know how difficult this year has been and can assure you that next summer at our weight loss camp, will be here before you know it.
Many new and exciting activities and great trips are already booked. We are also staying up to date on all new protocols and procedures that will be required in order to provide a safe and healthy camping experience. Please stay in touch and let us know how you are doing!

COVID-19 UPDATES
This has been an unprecedented and unusual year for all of us. We are so looking forward to the summer of 2021 and to helping our campers get active and eat nutritiously again. We have been getting regular updates and attending seminars with camp directors, health professionals and officials of the American Camp Association to be sure that we will be complying with all current and future protocols and procedures to operate a safe camp environment for everyone. Since we are at the beautiful George School their housekeeping and maintenance staff is already well-versed in new cleaning and sanitizing regulations and will, as always, provide us with daily housekeeping services in all public spaces, bathrooms, etc.
VIRTUAL CLASSES WITH OUR SPECIALISTS
Most of our great specialists have been offering online classes and workshops that our campers can take advantage of from our wellness camp. It is a great opportunity to stay in shape with classes by your favorite cardio instructors in conjunction with the gyms where they teach, or having your parents speak with Lisa, our registered dietitian for food tips and other advice. In addition, parents can sign up for weekly food and nutrition sessions with Lisa which in most cases are covered by insurance Call or email Lisa for further details You may contact our specialists at these emails:

OFF SEASON ACTIVITIES FROM OUR WELLNESS CAMP
We are waiting to see if we will be able to offer any in-person winter events this year. This includes Camp Reunions and get-togethers, ski trips etc. We will be offering Open Houses at camp next April and May. We can also arrange a private tour of our campus (by appointment) or arrange an in-person meeting with new campers in New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Connecticut, or South Florida.
JUNIOR COUNSELOR/COUNSELOR IN TRAINING
Attention Girls: If you are interested in becoming a future counselor at Camp Pennbrook you may want to consider attending camp in one of our training programs If you between the ages of 15 and 16 you may be eligible to be a CIT (counselor in training) and if you are between 17 and 18, you may qualify to be a JC (Junior Counselor)
Both of these positions involve a reduction in the camp tuition and a chance to gain valuable experience Those who complete both years of attending as CIT and JC may be able to become a full counselor a year earlier. General counselors must normally be at least 19 years old with one year of college. If you complete the program satisfactorily you can apply to be a full counselor at age 18 graduating high school.
The CIT’s work about 3 hours on select days either helping out with a younger age group or helping to run a special event or evening activity (such as carnival, casino night etc.) They receive a discount in the tuition of between $500-$1000 based on their length of stay and are full time campers. The JC’s will live with a certain age group, and work under the primary counselor while following the camp schedule for the age group they are assigned to. They have all of the duties and responsibilities of a regular counselor and pay half of the tuition of stays of 4 to 7 weeks. Please call or email for further information and an application.
